We know that just a slight change in priorities is needed for our dreams of a high quality child care sector to become a reality.
Our association doesn’t expect the government to solve all of the child care sector’s problems. We know we each need to work hard to provide the very best for BC’s children. And we want to. We're going to do this by lifting up the diverse voices in child care and making quality the priority of the entire child care sector.
We know that it's not enough for only some of us to access fair pay;
for different care types to be given different operational funding support;
for only some programs to be able to access funds to maintain learning environments;
or for large urban centres to have to only access to high quality professional development.
We believe that we are all connected as one unified sector; that the children and families of BC need all of us and the wealth of technical knowledge offered by our diverse experiences and shared dreams.
