It's time to come together as a single child care sector, committed to improving child care quality across the province.
If there's an Educator in Northern BC that is leaving the field because they are not making a living wage, that matters to us, because every Educator leaving the field is a loss to the entire sector.
If there's an in-home Owner in the Interior, who has to choose between ordering art supplies or paying a car repair bill, that resonates with us, because all programs are underfunded and must decide between paying bills or raising fees.
If there's an ECE student on the Island who is unable to access ECE bursaries for education, that threatens our own education, because Educators in BC learn collaboratively and from one another.
If there’s a Manager in the Fraser Valley who can’t recruit qualified Educators and runs program without qualified staff, that is a loss for us all, because a workforce with unqualified Educators leaves fewer mentors for all programs.
It is this fundamental belief - one for all and all for one - that makes our association a success.
It's what allows us to pursue our individual dreams for our own child care program, yet still come together as a single child care sector.
